Jens, thanks for adding to the list of Twitter tools. I am not a Mac person so I did not list Tweetie as I have not used this tool. But I'll certainly look into TweetAdder. I hope it is not prohibitively expensive :)

I think Tweetie is the best free Twitter client for Mac (it's free in sponsored mode, but you have to pay to get rid of the ads).

The best not free twitter tool I'm using is TweetAdder, it's awesome.

I've been resisting twitter since I first heard about it; however, people are finding it very useful in promoting their blog. I think I'll have to give in and take a second look. Thanks for the twitter extras list I'm it'll be useful if I decide to take the twitter plunge.

I'm a bit nervous about twitter given that, if public, people can read about what I last ate. People tend to put messages like that on Twitter. There is such a short space in which to talk.

I'm using Skype and tossing up which is better.
These twitter tools however do impress. It would be nice to find people in your local area and when they have last twittered.
